Urechistachykinin II is a tachykinin-related neuropeptide isolated from the ventral nerve cords of the echiuroid worm Urechis unicinctus. Its amino acid sequence has high homology with vertebrate and insect tackykinins. Urechistachykinin II potentiates spontaneous rhythmic contractions of the cockroach hindgut.
