Urechistachykinin I is a tachykinin-related neuropeptide isolated from the ventral nerve cords of the echiuroid worm Urechis unicinctus.  Its amino acid sequence has high homology with vertebrate and insect tackykinins.  Urechistachykinin I potentiates spontaneous rhythmic contractions of the cockroach hindgut.  Ikeda, T.; et al., Biochem.
