This peptide is a rat homologue of the human cathelicidin LL-37. Rat cathelicidin-related antimicrobial peptide (rCRAMP) was identified in granulocytes, thymus, testis, lung, mouth mucosa, tongue, oesophagus, colon, caecum and small intestine.
