Anti-Inflammatory Peptide 3 is a synthetic peptide from a region of high sequence similarity between lipocortin I and uteroglobin. It has potent in vivo anti-inflammatory activity. It is also a strong phospholipase A2 (PLA2) inhibitor in vitro [Miele, L et al. Nature, 335, 726 (1988); Camussi, G. et al. J. Exp. Med. 171, 913 (1990); Calderaro, J et al. J. Pharmacol. Exp. Ther. 263, 579 (1992)].
