Fmoc-Phe(3-Br)-OH is used to incorporate Phe(3-Br) residues into peptides.  Phe(3-Br) can be converted to biaryl residues by a Suzuki reaction (W Wang, Tetrahedron, 2002, 15, 3101-10).  Similar methods were utilized to prepare peptides with biaryl bridging (F-M Meyer, et al., J. Org. Chem.. 2012, 77, 3099-114).
