BOP-Cl

BOP-Cl is a very effective reagent for cyclizing linear peptides (KM Lassen, MM Jouillé, Org. Lett., 2010, 12, 5706-9). It was used as the coupling reagent in the key step of a total synthesis of hirsutelide A (Y. Xu, et al., Tetrahedron Lett., 2005, 46, 4377-9; Y. Xu, et al., Molecules, 2005, 10, 259-64). BOP-Cl was utilized to couple sterically hindered Fmoc-α,α-diisobutylglycine to resin (Y Fu, MA Etienne, RP Hammer, J. Org. Chem., 2003, 68, 9854-7). BOP-Cl is also utilized in the coupling of acids to N-methyl amino acids (PK Gajula, et al, J. Med. Chem., 2013, 56, 2235-45; E Vedejs, C Kongkittingham, J. Org. Chem., 2000, 65, 2309-18).
